My Sewing Story

As a young girl, I spent hours playing with paper dolls and designing Barbie clothes. Later, I advanced to making my own clothing and engaging in interior design projects for my living spaces. My fascination with sewing and design led to a degree in clothing construction from Western Michigan University.

After many years of sewing for family and friends, Sew Many Memories was founded in 1995 as a result of increased demand for my services. The business allowed me to broaden my customer base from just family and friends and tackle more unique projects beyond ready-to-wear fashions for women and children.

I have adapted to the changing needs of my clients both personally and professionally, often working from ideas and translating that dream to fabric for a special occasion. Sew Many Memories specializes in many different themes and styles of clothing construction including custom designed evening wear, bridal and unique dresses for flower girls created to complement the design style and colors chosen for a wedding party. I am also experienced in giving vintage gowns new life as christening gowns, hankies, pillows or restyled for wear by a new bride her wedding day.

The success of Sew Many Memories is my attention to customer service. Working one on one with each of my clients, I use my understanding of line, proportion, color and texture to bring hazy ideas into reality. This culmination of life-long dreams provides me with personal satisfaction and my clients with beautiful memories.
